About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned IT professional to lead our technical charge as a Senior IT Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions for clients across various industries, driving automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, and ensuring the company’s infrastructure is secure and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical charge and serve as the go-to expert for complex escalations across networking, security, and Microsoft environments.
  • Design and implement solutions for clients ranging from SMBs to enterprises.
  • Drive automation initiatives to make the team more efficient.
  • Manage FortiGate firewalls, MikroTik routers, and BGP configurations.
  • Administer Hyper-V clusters and Microsoft server environments.
  • Oversee M365 tenant migrations, configurations, and ongoing optimisation.
  • Build the team by mentoring junior technicians and helping them level up.
  • Create documentation that actually gets used.
  • Contribute to the company’s internal knowledge base and best practices.
  • Work with clients to understand their business challenges and translate them into technical solutions.

Requirements

  • 10 years in IT with deep experience across multiple domains.
  • Expert-level knowledge of FortiGate security appliances.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 and Azure administration skills.
  • Solid networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Hyper-V and Windows Server administration experience.
  • Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell is a must).

  • A valid driver’s licence and own transport.
