Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Utility Manager to oversee the planning, organizing, and managing of utility services within our organization. The Utility Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all utility systems, including water, electricity, gas, and waste management. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in utility systems, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement utility management strategies to optimize energy consumption and reduce utility costs. 2. Monitor utility consumption data and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. 3. Coordinate with utility providers to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. 4. Supervise and train utility staff to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. 5. Prepare utility budgets and forecasts, and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness. 6. Conduct regular inspections of utility systems and equipment to identify maintenance and repair needs. 7. Collaborate with other departments to support sustainability initiatives and environmental compliance efforts. 8. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in utility management. 9. Prepare reports and presentations on utility usage, costs, and savings to management. 10.Environment, preferably municipal environment / interacting with Utility Service Providers (Municipalities/ Eskom and landlords) Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in utility management, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting (Municipalities/Eskom and landlords) Strong knowledge of utility systems, including HVAC, Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Certification in utility management or related field is a plus. Matric / Grade 12 Valid SA drivers license
