Educational and work background:
- Bcom in finance and Accounting (minimum requirement).
- 5 10 years relevant experience
- Completed articles with a prior audit firm would be an advantage
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply principles of accounting to analyse financial information and prepare financial reports for group and all statutory entities.
- Preparation of Financials for Group and all statutory entities.
- Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
- Install, modify, document and coordinate implementation of accounting systems and control procedures.
- Taxation compliance across the group.
- BEE Working with Consultants and various departments, driving the timeline.
- Review and release of all company payments FNB/Standard Bank.
- Managing external audits.
- Review of VAT calculation and submission.
- Reviewing and completion of Monthly Board packs.
- Assisting sites and sales staff with financial queries.
- Maintaining company documentation relating to WCA, Tax and Banking.
- Supervises the Financial department (Creditors, Cashbook and Fixed Assets) and ensure functional performance.
- Proficient in JDE and Excel
