Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative with strong hands-on experience in furnace temperature control systems within mining and metallurgical environments. This role combines technical field support with client relationship management and solution-based sales.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on-site at mines and laboratories, supporting furnace systems while identifying business opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support for assay furnace temperature control systems
- Assist with troubleshooting of thyristor panels, PID controllers, SCRs, and related automation systems
- Conduct site visits at mines and laboratories for installation, support, and system optimisation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technical stakeholders, lab managers, and procurement teams
- Identify opportunities for system upgrades, service improvements, and new business development
- Compile technical feedback and site reports for internal teams
Minimum Requirements
- Hands-on experience with furnace temperature control systems (mining or metallurgical environments)
- Background in field service, technical support, or client-facing technical roles (3 years experience)
- Strong understanding of PID control systems and industrial electrical/instrumentation principles
- Ability to troubleshoot and work independently on-site
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel regularly
