Pretoria/Centurion – Gauteng – South Africa
- Assist farmer in their regenerative journey, particularly with the veld and livestock challenges of high- or ultra-high-density grazing (i.e. walking the journey with them).
- Onboard farmers onto Carbon Programmes.
- Capture on-farm data and assist farmers in improving their data-capturing processes.
- Analyse satellite imagery to confirm on-farm grazing practices.
- Field mapping and review against carbon qualifying criteria.
- Regenerative Agriculture (RA) and carbon sequestration research – particularly within high-density grazing and other improved livestock management practices.
- Business Development by driving adoption of RA in key target areas and attending farmer days and events.
- Calculate net emissions for farmers using CarbonCrop tools.
- Conduct farm visits, manage trial sites and collect samples.
- Contribute towards the technology capabilities, particularly in monitoring regenerative practices.
- Veld biomass sampling, veld inspections, in-field consultations, etc.
- Any Agri, Soils, Animal, Environmental or similar Degree is advantageous (not required).
- 10-15 Years relevant experience highly advantageous.
- Working with farmers; understanding of agricultural systems; Excel; analytical and strategic; deep livestock & UHDG knowledge.
- Enjoy working with farmers/people but can also enjoy hours behind a laptop doing Agri-data work.
- Have a passion for Regenerative or Sustainable Agriculture.
- Good attention to detail, am organised in nature, can work well with a computer and am comfortable with Excel.
