About the Role

Takora Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for providing expert quantity surveying services to our clients across various energy and power distribution projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data on construction costs and progress
• Prepare and manage construction contracts, including NEC, FIDIC, and JBCC
• Develop and implement cost management plans and commercial reports
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for cost savings and optimization
• Negotiate with contractors and clients to achieve project goals
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying
• Registered with SACQSP as a Professional Quantity Surveyor
• At least 10 years of post-registration experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Experience in energy and power distribution projects
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts
• Advanced proficiency in cost management and commercial reporting
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills

• Formal education/certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying (required)
