About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Chemical Procurement expert, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our chemical inventory and compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive industry experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage chemical ordering in line with operational requirements
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers
- Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Ensure correct storage and handling in accordance with safety standards
- Provide expert guidance on chemical selection and application
- Develop and review chemical specifications
- Troubleshoot operational challenges related to chemical usage
- Train staff on the correct handling, application, and safety procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 35 years relevant industry experience
- Strong knowledge of chemical safety, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
- Experience in procurement and supplier management (advantageous)
