About the Role
An Executive Chef is required for a private family based in Kurdistan, Iraq. The successful candidate will oversee all culinary operations for the family, guests and staff, creating high-quality, healthy and varied menus aligned with the family’s tastes.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and execute daily menus, special occasions and event menus, adjusting to evolving preferences and dietary requirements.
• Lead all food preparation, cooking and presentation, ensuring consistency at restaurant level.
• Manage procurement, supplier relationships, stock rotation and kitchen cost control.
• Enforce food safety, hygiene and cleaning standards, and maintain kitchen HACCP documentation.
• Train and mentor the Sous chef and kitchen assistants, including cross-training for staff meals and simple service during emergencies.
• Generate along with the Head Butler a family preference file for each member of the family listing their favourite beverages, and foods/dishes.
Requirements
Previous private Chef experience, knowledge of Italian/Mediterranean cuisine and Middle Eastern cuisine, fluent English.
Qualifications
Professional culinary training; extensive fine-dining or UHNW household experience.
Salary & Benefits
Salary circa $120,000 depending on experience. Accommodation provided, medical insurance and return flight home is provided.
