About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Lecturer to join our team at a respected institution based in Durbanville, Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing future finance professionals while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, quality and learner success.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate accredited QCTO qualifications, part-qualifications and skills programmes in Software Developer and/or Software Tester Learnerships
- Deliver engaging, learner-centred sessions across theory, practical and workplace-based learning
- Conduct assessments and manage Portfolios of Evidence (PoE) in line with compliance standards
- Support moderation processes and ensure audit readiness at all times
- Develop lesson plans, assessment schedules and structured learning material
- Provide ongoing learner support, mentorship and performance tracking
- Prepare learners for workplace integration, including internships and placements
- Engage with industry partners to support workplace-based learning opportunities
- Contribute to the development of online and blended learning content
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Systems Development, Software Development, or a related field (NQF Level 6 or higher preferred)
- Aligned International Certification (Cybersecurity, CompTia S, CISCO, Microsoft)
- Constituent MICT registered Assessor and Moderator
- Constituent MICT Assessor registered for Systems Development, Software Development, or Software Tester
- Certified Facilitator
- Valid South African Driver’s license
- MICT SETA Constituent Assessor and Moderator Registration for programming-related qualifications
- Aligned International Certification (Cybersecurity, CompTia S, CISCO, Microsoft)
