About the Role

The National Construction Equipment Technical Manager role is a critical position that requires an experienced professional to manage group assets and ensure optimal equipment utilization. The successful candidate will be responsible for motivating and mentoring a diverse team, upholding Hazchem and environmental regulations, and providing technical support to teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage group assets such as road surfacing equipment, transportation vehicles, and company workshops processes and procedures.
  • Motivate and mentor a diverse team based at multiple workshops.
  • Ensure Hazchem and environmental regulations are upheld.
  • Accurately manage asset licensing, insurances/claims management, workshop documentation management.
  • Use equipment and vehicles efficiently and cost effectively.
  • Provide technical support to teams.
  • Monitor the scheduling servicing of equipment/fleet.
  • Ensure profitability.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering or related Diesel trade qualification.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in managing group assets.
  • Strong background in motivating and mentoring a diverse team.
  • Experience with Hazchem and environmental regulations.
  • Accurate asset licensing, insurances/claims management, workshop documentation management.
  • Ability to use equipment and vehicles efficiently and cost effectively.

Qualifications

  • Formal education/certifications (Mechanical Engineering or related Diesel trade qualification).
