Job Description
This global organisation operates across complex, large-scale projects, offering exposure to international best practices and high-performance teams. The Financial Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting business performance through insightful financial analysis.
The role will oversee key finance functions, including reporting, budgeting, treasury, compliance, and team leadership, while ensuring alignment with group reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate closely with finance shared services teams across multiple geographic locations to ensure alignment, efficiency, and consistency in financial processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including management accounts, statutory reporting, and group reporting packs.
- Manage the financial close process, ensuring general ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations, and accurate reporting.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and financial performance tracking.
- Lead audit processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee treasury and cash flow management, including forecasting, working capital, and FX exposure.
- Ensure tax compliance, company secretarial requirements, and adherence to internal governance frameworks.
- Lead and develop the finance team, including Accounts Payable and Treasury functions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing systems, processes, and financial controls.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- CA(SA) is essential
- 5–10 years’ experience in financial management within a multinational or professional services environment
- Experience in large, project-based environments and exposure to project accounting within the financial reporting process would be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of IFRS (particularly IFRS 9, 15, and 16), financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience managing audits, treasury, and compliance functions
- Exposure to ERP systems (Oracle HFM preferred)
- Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to operate in a deadline-driven environment
