Job Description

A leading South African investment and wealth organisation is expanding its engineering leadership team and is seeking a C# Team Lead to drive technical excellence and lead strategic software initiatives.

This role offers the opportunity to influence engineering standards, guide development teams through complex technical challenges, and shape systems that support high-impact financial products nationwide. The position combines architectural oversight, hands-on development, and team leadership, ensuring platforms are robust, scalable, and aligned with business growth.

You will lead the design of backend services, enhance system reliability, and implement modern engineering practices to elevate quality across the department. Your leadership will directly contribute to delivering secure, efficient, and innovative digital experiences for clients and advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor development teams, setting high standards for code quality, architecture, and best practices.
  • Design and implement backend services and scalable systems to support enterprise-grade applications.
  • Introduce modern engineering practices, including microservices, automated deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with business goals.
  • Enhance system reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Support integration with CRM systems and other enterprise platforms.
