About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lodge Manager to oversee the operations of a prestigious luxury lodge situated in the breathtaking Lower Zambezi. This exceptional opportunity calls for a professional hospitality manager who is passionate about delivering world-class guest experiences and leading a dedicated team in a remote, high-end safari setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily lodge operations, ensuring exceptional guest service and smooth departmental coordination
- Lead, train, and motivate the lodge team to maintain the highest standards of hospitality and performance
- Manage budgets, stock controls, and financial reporting in line with company procedures
- Maintain close communication with head office and senior management to ensure brand consistency
- Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards across the property
- Oversee guest relations, ensuring every guest experience exceeds expectations
- Monitor property maintenance and manage suppliers to ensure efficient operations
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar management role within a 5-star lodge or luxury hospitality environment
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a hands-on management approach
Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
Financial acumen and experience with budget management
Ability to work effectively in a remote bush environment
Passion for conservation and sustainable tourism
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
