About the Role

We are partnering with an Ultra-Luxury Safari Camp in Masai Mara to recruit a highly skilled Lodge Operations Manager. An exceptional opportunity exists for a highly experienced hospitality professional to take on a standalone leadership role at a safari camp in a remote wilderness setting. This position requires a dynamic, hands-on leader responsible for the full operational, financial, and guest experience performance of the property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all departments, including Guest Experience, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Administration
  • Act as the on-site custodian of the asset, ensuring world-class service delivery, strong commercial results, and seamless day-to-day operations in a challenging yet rewarding environment
  • Balance high-level strategic oversight with operational execution
  • Carry full accountability for financial performance (P&L and GOP), revenue optimisation, team leadership, and maintaining exceptional service standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years experience in luxury hospitality
  • At least 3+ years in a senior management role (Camp Manager, Lodge Manager, Hotel Manager, or similar)
  • Proven experience with full P&L responsibility and delivering GOP targets
  • Previous safari lodge or remote property experience strongly preferred
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Experience within a luxury brand environment advantageous
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a remote, hands-on, and physically demanding environment

Qualifications

  • Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.) are not required for this position.
