About the Role

A boutique AI advisory firm is expanding its team and seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to help deliver transformative AI solutions across the banking domain. This role offers the chance to contribute to large-scale, business-critical initiatives where advanced machine learning is used to drive smarter decisions and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine machine learning solutions tailored to complex use cases within the banking sector.
  • Create robust, scalable ML workflows and embed them seamlessly into live production systems.
  • Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business partners to deliver fully realised, end-to-end AI capabilities.
  • Release, observe, and support models in AWS-based environments, ensuring smooth operation at scale.
  • Uphold high standards for model stability, repeatability, and efficiency across the entire ML lifecycle.
  • Capture and share technical approaches, processes, and standards to promote consistency and best practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in machine learning, data science, or a closely related discipline.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, with strong practical experience using ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
  • Proven experience working with large-scale datasets, including both SQL and NoSQL data stores.
  • Essential: Direct experience with AWS cloud services, including SageMaker, S3, Lambda, EC2, Glue, and Redshift.
  • Solid understanding of MLOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines for machine learning workflows.
