About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a luxury private island in Madagascar. This live-in role offers the opportunity to oversee front-of-house operations, mentor teams, and ensure the delivery of exceptional guest experiences in a prestigious and exclusive property.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth daily functioning and guest satisfaction
- Maintain and enhance service standards across all departments to deliver a seamless luxury experience
- Personally host guests, ensuring every interaction reflects professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail
- Mentor and provide guidance to teams, fostering a culture of service excellence
- Support the General Manager
- Monitor and improve guest feedback systems to maintain consistent quality delivery
- Liaise with department heads to ensure cohesive and effective communication
- Oversee stock control, logistics, and cost management to maintain operational efficiency
Requirements
Previous experience in a senior front-of-house or operations role within a luxury lodge, resort, or private island environment. Strong leadership and team mentoring skills. Exceptional guest relations and communication abilities. Proven track record in delivering 5-star service in high-end hospitality settings. Flexible, hands-on approach with the ability to adapt to remote island living. Sound understanding of operational logistics, stock control, and financial management.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience. Accommodation: Live-in provided. Meals, Wi-Fi, laundry service, and medical cover included. Two flights per annum
