About the Role
We are seeking a Reservationist to join our team at Oude Werf Hotel in Stellenbosch, where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest service and supporting the reservations function through effective booking management.
Key Responsibilities
– Guest Service Excellence: Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient service to guests via telephone, email, and online channels.
– Reservations Management: Process, amend, and confirm reservations accurately using Opera Cloud and related systems.
– Sales & Revenue Support: Identify upselling opportunities, promote hotel offerings, and maximise room revenue.
– Communication: Provide clear and timely information to guests regarding rates, availability, packages, and hotel services.
– Administration: Maintain accurate guest profiles, reservation records, and reports with strong attention to detail.
– Teamwork & Support: Work closely with Front Office and other departments to ensure smooth guest arrivals and operational efficiency.
– Planning & Organization: Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple enquiries.
Requirements
- Matric
- Diploma or certificate in hospitality management, Hotel management or Tourism
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the hotel industry in a similar position
- Computer literate with experience with MS Office and 5 years’ experience in Opera Cloud OTA/GTS systems
- Ability to Work various shifts
- Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette
- Strong sales ability and customer service orientation
- Ability to multitask, plan and organise effectively
