About the Role
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead our funding lifecycle, drive cash flow management, and provide financial insight to executive leadership. As Head of Finance & Funding, you will be responsible for managing relationships with banks, lenders, investors, and funding partners, as well as overseeing financial modelling, funding structures, and investment analyses.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the full funding lifecycle, including debt and equity raises
- Manage relationships with banks, lenders, investors, and funding partners
- Oversee financial modelling, funding structures, and investment analyses
- Drive cash flow management and funding drawdown processes
- Act as senior finance liaison for auditors, legal, and tax advisors
- Provide financial insight and reporting to executive leadership
- Build and strengthen finance and funding processes as the business scales
Requirements
- Proven funding experience with full knowledge of end-to-end funding processes
- Demonstrated experience working directly with banks and lenders
- Senior finance leadership background (title flexible)
- Strong commercial judgement and decision-making ability
- Confident, decisive leader who is also a collaborative team player
- Advanced Excel skills
- 5–8 years’ experience in finance, ideally within:
- Project finance
- Investment or corporate finance
- Experience supporting funding transactions
- Exposure to project-level financial modelling
Qualifications
CA(SA) or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred. Alternatively, a strong commercial finance background with demonstrable funding and capital-raising experience.
