About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as Deputy General Manager at Craven Cottage CC in Plettenberg Bay. As a key member of our leadership team, you will support the General Manager in the overall operation of the hotel, ensuring seamless daily operations and exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in the overall operation of the hotel
- Lead and manage FOH and BOH teams, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Maintain high standards of guest service and satisfaction
- Handle guest queries, complaints and service recovery professionally
- Oversee staff scheduling, performance and daily supervision
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and operational standards
- Monitor operational efficiency, stock control and cost management
- Assist with training, development and team motivation
- Step in to manage the hotel in the absence of the General Manager
Requirements
Grade 12
Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hotel supervisory or management role
Strong leadership and team management skills
Hands-on approach with a willingness to be involved in all areas of the business
Energetic, positive and solution-driven mindset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy hospitality environment
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Natural leader who leads from the front (not from behind a desk)
Able to balance guest experience with operational efficiency
Team player who supports and motivates staff across all departments
Looking to grow within a dynamic and evolving hotel environment
Salary & Benefits
Competitive salary R28,000 – R30,000 (gross)
