About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sommelier to join our team in Ehlanzeni, with a passion for South African wines and exceptional guest engagement skills. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding wine experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert sommelier services to guests, including wine pairings and recommendations.
- Maintain an extensive knowledge of South African wines, with the ability to make informed recommendations.
- Manage inventory levels and costs, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Develop and implement effective inventory management systems.
- Engage with guests through storytelling and exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- Recognized Sommelier certification (e.g., WSET Level 2/3 or equivalent).
- Minimum of 35 years experience in a luxury lodge or fine dining environment.
