Personal Assistant to the Managing Director A Managing Director running a family business in the Garden Route is seeking a capable, professional Personal Assistant to act as a trusted right hand. This role is a partnership rather than a list of tasks. The PA will work closely with the Managing Director and other senior management day-to-day. The core duties and responsibilities will be as follows: Assist Managing Director with management of: Plan and book domestic and international travel flights, accommodation, transport, visas, and insurance. Submission and management of applications on Government Sites. Plan company events. Assist with the preparation of meetings. Attend company meetings, take notes, capture action items, and drive follow-ups. Be a reliable liaison with clients, suppliers, and internal team members. Manage projects/tasks that do not fit in with the scope of work of other staff members, research, vendor management, customer management, researching new tools, event coordination etc. Filing and management of Contracts, NDAs, and other confidential documents. Draft correspondence, briefings, and presentations on the MDs behalf. Based in the Garden Route (Great Brak River/Mossel Bay/George area). Working Conditions: Based at the Head Office in Great Brak River, Mosselbay Standard working hours apply, with flexibility required during peak periods, stock counts or emergencies Working Hours: The employee will operate within the following hours. Monday – Thursday 08h00 – 16h30 Friday – 08h00 – 16h00 Education: Grade 12 (Matric) essential Experience: 37 years of experience as a PA or similar jobs. Exceptional discretion, with a proven track record of handling confidential information deals, financials, personal matters appropriately. Proactive by default. Highly organised, with attention to detail in their own work and in anything that goes out under the company’s name. Tech-forward and comfortable with modern tools Zoho Ecosystem, meeting systems (Teams/Zoom). Excellent written and spoken English and Afrikaans. A valid South African ID, a reliable vehicle, and a valid drivers licence. Based in the Garden Route (Great Brak River / Mossel Bay / George area). Stable employment record with contactable references
