About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Species Monitor to join our team in Zululand, working closely with our conservation efforts for endangered species such as wild dogs, lions, cheetahs, and rhinos. As a passionate conservationist, you will be an integral part of protecting Africa’s wildlife.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field monitoring using radio-telemetry and camera trapping
- Host and provide guided experiences to volunteers
- Carry out data management and computer literacy tasks
- Utilize the provided monitoring vehicle and research equipment
Requirements
- BSc. Conservation Ecology or similar qualification (preferred)
- FGASA qualified with field experience (preferably in a Big 5 environment)
- Valid driver’s license and PrDP license
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Excellent English communication skills
