Job Summary
A well-established player in the logistics and transport sector is looking for a driven and detail-oriented individual to join their finance team.
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Perform reconciliations, journals, and month-end processes
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure accurate depreciation schedules
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable tax regulations
- Liaise with auditors, SARS, and other external stakeholders
- Provide financial insight and support to operational teams
Qualifications and Skills:
BCom Accounting degree or equivalent
Completed SAICA articles
1–2 years of post-article experience in a commercial environment
Strong working knowledge of IFRS and tax principles
Proficient in Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Pastel, or similar)
Analytical mindset with a hands-on, proactive approach
