About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and guest-focused Bartender to join our luxury all-inclusive safari lodge in Northern KwaZulu-Natal. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional bar service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to luxury standards
- Deliver warm, engaging, and personalised guest service
- Maintain a professional and welcoming bar atmosphere at all times
- Assist guests with drink recommendations and pairing suggestions
- Mix cocktails, mocktails, wines, and spirits according to lodge standards
- Ensure consistency in drink quality, presentation, and portion control
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at the bar and service areas
- Ensure all beverages are served at the correct temperature and presentation level
- Assist with stock control, receiving, and rotation of bar inventory
- Monitor usage and assist in minimising wastage
- Support accurate recording of stock levels and bar requisitions
- Report shortages or discrepancies to management
- Build positive relationships with guests and enhance their overall experience
- Work closely with front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service
- Maintain a team-oriented and professional attitude at all times
Requirements
- Previous bartending experience in hospitality or lodge environment advantageous
- Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails, wines, and spirits
- Excellent guest service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a remote bush environment
- Honest, reliable, and well-presented
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Salary & Benefits
Salary: R8,000 per month.
