About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a detail-driven and highly organised Housekeeping Manager to take full ownership of the housekeeping department across two exclusive luxury safari lodges in the Greater Kruger region. As a live-in opportunity, this role offers a unique chance for a hospitality professional to thrive in a dynamic bush environment while maintaining five-star standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee housekeeping operations across both lodges to ensure five-star luxury standards
- Manage, train, and supervise housekeeping staff and rostering
- Conduct stock takes and manage housekeeping inventory and supplies
- Oversee ordering of guest amenities and departmental consumables
- Ensure all guest rooms, suites, and public areas are maintained to impeccable standards
- Support guest-facing administration where required, including basic invoicing and admin assistance
- Maintain consistency, cleanliness, and attention to detail throughout both properties
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Housekeeping Manager or senior housekeeping role within a luxury lodge or hotel environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and high service standards
- Strong organisational and stock control abilities
- Hands-on, proactive, and guest-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the department

- Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
Salary & Benefits
- R10,000 – R14,000 per month (Dependent on Experience)
