About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SEO Specialist to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, responsible for driving organic search growth and improving online visibility for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute SEO campaigns across multiple client accounts
- Roll out SEO strategies and monitor performance
- Identify optimisation opportunities and build action plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and planned initiatives
- Contribute insights to quarterly reviews
- Conduct technical SEO, including comprehensive audits using industry-standard tools
- Resolve crawlability, indexation, and site health challenges
- Compile clear technical recommendations for developers
- QA and validate SEO changes post-implementation
- Monitor technical performance indicators such as page speed and UX signals
- Perform keyword research aligned to search intent and business goals
- Map keyword strategies across site architectures
- Optimize metadata, headers, internal linking, and page layouts
- Create detailed SEO content briefs for writers
- Refresh and optimise existing content to improve engagement and rankings
- Track ranking movements and on-site user behaviour
- Support backlink acquisition and outreach campaigns
- Review backlink profiles to identify risks and opportunities
- Analyse competitor authority and off-site strategies
- Measure improvements in domain authority and referral performance
- Manage and optimise business profiles and listings
- Ensure citation accuracy and consistency across directories
- Track and improve local search visibility
Requirements
- 25 years of practical SEO experience (agency experience preferred)
- Demonstrated success in improving organic search performance
- Strong ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
- Solid understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimisation, and link building
- Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, and reporting tools
- Familiarity with CMS platforms and website structures
- Basic HTML knowledge
- Advanced spreadsheet skills for analysis and reporting
