About the Role

Our client, one of South Africa’s largest multidisciplinary construction groups, is seeking a Foreman (Roads and Earthworks) to join their team. As a key member of the construction process, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of road and earthworks projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works to programmes and deadlines as agreed with Site Agent/General Foreman.
  • Read and interpret drawings.
  • Setting out and levelling.
  • Knowledge of materials, plant and equipment.
  • Co-ordination of construction teams.
  • Staff management and labour legislation.
  • Safety requirements and safety and health legislation.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years related experience in the construction environment with experience in roads & earthworks projects.
  • Written Communication.
  • Oral Communication.
  • Numerical orientation.
  • Planning skills.
  • Problem solving.
  • Conflict management.
  • Decision making.
  • Interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Matric with Maths/NQF4 is an advantage.
