Centurion: Warehouse Manager

About the Role

The Centurion: Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our warehouse operations, with a focus on cost control, process compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost control: Warehouse expenditure is managed within budget.
  • Labour management: Labour is managed within budgeted KPI’s.
  • Stock losses management: Stock losses are managed within budgeted KPI’s.
  • Stock damages management: Stock damages are managed within budgeted KPI’s.
  • Repairs and maintenance management: Repairs and maintenance are managed within budgeted KPI’s.
  • Machinery management: Machinery is managed within budgeted KPI’s.
  • Investigating cost overruns and implementing countermeasures to prevent further overruns.
  • Maintaining accurate accounts and expenditure records in the correct period.
  • Ensuring DC compliance with all Company procedures and maintaining warehouse quality standards.
  • Passing internal and external quality audits and closing audit gaps within prescribed due dates.
  • Conducting staff on-the-job procedure assessments weekly.
  • Managing shift expenditure and investigating cost overruns for shifts.
  • Maintaining a focus on food safety and quality protocols in the distribution center.

Requirements

  • 5 – 7 Years experience within Warehousing & Distribution
  • Shift Management
  • Grade 12 with Higher Grade Math
  • Tertiary Diploma / Degree / Qualification in Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Continuous Improvement

  • Pursuing process, quality, service level, and cost improvements through the DQSP process.
  • Ensuring accurate picking according to agreed target and providing resources required.
  • Maintaining accurate receiving according to agreed target and providing resources required.
  • Ensuring a clear floor before pick and labelling all pallets.
  • Performing facility and equipment maintenance (buildings, racks, plant, MHE’s, delivery equipment etc.).
  • Maintaining well-maintained, clean, and good working order assets.
  • Maintaining a well-maintained, neat, and clean warehouse.
  • Ensuring health and safety repairs are completed without delay.
  • Attending and contributing to daily Max sessions.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced MS Office, Excel, WMS, and Microsoft Dynamics GP skills
