About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Human Resources Business Partner to partner with leadership teams in delivering end-to-end HR support that drives business performance, talent optimisation, and a positive employee experience for our financial services client in Cape Town. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with leaders across the full employee lifecycle — from talent and performance management to employee relations and organisational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership and line management to align people strategies with business goals
  • Deliver full-spectrum HR generalist support across the employee lifecycle
  • Provide expert guidance on talent management, succession planning, and employee engagement
  • Facilitate performance management processes , including goal setting, reviews, and calibration sessions
  • Lead talent review and development planning discussions
  • Independently manage employee relations matters , including: misconduct poor performance grievances incapacity workplace conflict
  • Advise on South African labour legislation , HR policies, and best practice
  • Support change initiatives including restructures, role changes, and integration activities
  • Analyse people data including headcount, turnover, performance, and EE metrics
  • Partner with specialist HR teams such as L&D, remuneration, and HR operations
  • Support workforce planning, interviews, and offer processes where required
  • Identify and mitigate people risks relating to culture, conduct, and compliance

Requirements

  • Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations related field
  • Preferred Honours degree
  • SABPP registration
  • Change management certification
  • Coaching certification
