About the Role
The Dry Process Manager role at our company is a critical position that requires strong leadership and operational management skills to drive efficiency and quality in our textile manufacturing operations. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our weaving, warp knitting, and yarn storage processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Weaving, Warp Knitting, Weaving Preparation, and Yarn Storage operations to achieve production and quality targets
- Minimise waste, manage consumables and yarn inventory, and ensure efficient stock control
- Ensure machinery is maintained to reduce downtime and improve operational performance
- Maintain accurate reporting, operational documentation, and inventory records
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage quality issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and relevant legislation
- Coordinate product sampling and evaluation processes before production
- Support process improvements to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Develop and manage departmental budgets and control operating costs
- Support product costing, Bills of Materials, and MRP & ERP system accuracy
- Prepare monthly management reports
- Support procurement activities to ensure competitive pricing of consumables and chemicals
- Drive process improvements to improve productivity and reduce costs

- Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Weaving Manager role within textile manufacturing
- Experience in weaving preparation and warp knitting would be advantageous
- Experience in strategy development, people leadership, and operational improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelors degree or recognised Diploma in Textile Technology / Engineering
- Postgraduate qualifications in Production Management and SHEQ would be advantageous
- Working knowledge of Management Systems such as Lean Sigma and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)
