About the Role
A leading Short-Term Insurance provider is seeking a dynamic Portfolio Manager to grow and manage broker relationships in Johannesburg and Pretoria. The ideal candidate will drive new business, onboard new brokers, and support portfolio growth while acting as the key link between brokers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow commercial premium income and hit monthly/annual targets
- Maintain a 25% new-business closing rate
- Keep new business loss ratios below 60%
- Identify at least 5 new select brokers
- Support brokers with training, product knowledge, and portfolio insights
Requirements
- Grade 12 NQF4 Short-Term Insurance Qualification (or in progress)
- RE5 – essential FSCA registered (DOFA required)
- 3 years of Commercial Insurance experience
- Strong product knowledge (Personal & Commercial Lines)
Qualifications
- TIAL/System A experience – advantageous
