About the Role

K2 Recruit is partnering with a high-performance IT services business to appoint a New Business Developer/Account Manager in their Cape Town office. This is a pure new business role, suited to individuals who thrive on building pipeline, opening doors, and closing deals within the mid-corporate space (200–1000 users).

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive high-volume outbound activity including cold calling, canvassing, networking, and social selling
  • Identify, target, and secure new logo clients within the mid-market segment
  • Build and maintain a robust, qualified sales pipeline
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
  • Sales Execution: Conduct client discovery to understand business and technical requirements
  • Present and position IT and Managed Services solutions effectively
  • Develop tailored proposals and negotiate commercial terms
  • Consistently meet and exceed GP and revenue targets
  • Pipeline & Performance Management: Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking within CRM
  • Deliver consistent reporting on sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts
  • Ensure strong deal hygiene and margin awareness
  • Market Engagement: Build a strong presence within the mid-corporate market
  • Develop relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a hunter/new business sales role
  • Strong track record of pipeline generation and deal closure
  • Exposure to selling into mid-sized organisations (200–1000 users)
