About the Role

Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Foreman to oversee and coordinate all concrete-related operations on-site for our dynamic construction company based in Woodstock, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of concrete work, proven leadership abilities, and a track record of delivering quality work on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily concrete activities on-site, including formwork, pouring, curing, and finishing.
  • Lead and manage a team of concrete workers, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety standards.
  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications related to concrete structures.
  • Monitor the use of materials and equipment, ensuring minimal waste and efficient usage.
  • Liaise with site engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and execution.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of health and safety on-site.
  • Report progress, delays, or issues to the site manager or project manager.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric (relevant tertiary or technical qualifications advantageous).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience in managing concrete works (foundations, slabs, columns, retaining walls, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of concrete mixes, formwork systems, and curing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
