About the Role
As a Reservations Consultant at Craven Cottage CC, you will be responsible for creating and achieving a desired service level to both customers and lodge operations. You will also play a key role in maximizing occupancies by filling empty room gaps, while ensuring that every guest has an exceptional experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating and achieving a desired service level to both customers and lodge operations
- Maximizing occupancies by filling empty room gaps
- Liaising with and preparing for guests to enhance their experience
- Accurately managing bookings from initial enquiry to booking confirmation and payment
- Receiving and giving feedback on telephonic, electronic, and written enquiries
- Being professional and presentable at all times
- Providing courteous service to clients, even if they appear to be in the wrong
- Regularly communicating with clients regarding reservations
- Conducting timely follow-ups on all reservations
- Managing deposit payments and outstanding payments according to schedule
- Assisting with all properties in portfolio
- Taking calls and responding to emails
Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12
- Relevant Tourism qualification
- Any diploma or degree qualification will be advantageous
- At least 2-4 years of experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry
- Experience on PANStrat Admin System will be advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good judgement
- Self-managed

- In-depth knowledge of business and customer needs in Tourism industry (rates, activities, lodge operational procedures etc.)
- Ability to work independently as well as within a group
- Efficient computer skills
