Kimberley: PPE Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced PPE Accountant to join our team in Kimberley, responsible for managing the accounting of property, plant & equipment (PPE) across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fixed assets/PPE accounting and excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting of PPE across multiple sites
• Prepare financial statements and reports on PPE
• Reconcile asset registers and perform complex reconciliations
• Develop and maintain financial models using Excel
• Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Maintain high levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills

Requirements

• Minimum of a BCom Degree in Accounting or related field
• Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles
• Proven experience in Fixed Assets/PPE accounting within a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of IFRS, specifically IAS 16 Property, Plant & Equipment (IAS 36 advantageous)
• Advanced Excel skills including asset registers, reconciliations, and financial modelling

Qualifications

• Formal education/certifications: BCom Degree in Accounting or related field; SAIPA or SAICA articles
