About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our client’s upmarket business property in Pretoria, where you will be responsible for leading the culinary team and delivering exceptional food experiences to international business travelers and local corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Standardize and elevate food offerings across all outlets, ensuring a consistent, high-standard product.
- Absolute accountability for the Food & Beverage Gross Profit (GP), including aggressive waste management, meticulous menu costing, and strict procurement controls to meet monthly budget targets.
- Oversee the end-to-end culinary delivery for large-scale conferences, government functions, and private events (up to 300 pax), ensuring timing and quality are never compromised.
- Maintain a high-performance culture through structured training and mentorship.
- Ensure the kitchen remains 100% compliant with international health, safety, and hygiene (HACCP) standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume, 4-star hotel environment.
- Proven track record in “High-Volume/High-Quality” environments.
- Proficient in financial reporting and Excel as well as culinary technique.
Qualifications
Professional Culinary Diploma/Degree from a recognized institution is non-negotiable.
