About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Camp Manager to join our luxury safari lodge in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal. As a hands-on guest-facing leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless daily camp operations, delivering personalised guest experiences, and maintaining exceptional hospitality standards within a luxury safari lodge environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare personalised guest welcome and departure notes
• Check guests in during the day and manage special requests, dietary requirements, and children’s needs
• Host guests throughout their stay and assist after game drives
• Ensure all guest-facing areas consistently meet luxury lodge standards
• Oversee breakfast, lunch, and dinner service setups
• Maintain lodge cleanliness, styling, and presentation standards
• Host guests during mealtimes and ensure smooth FOH–BOH coordination
• Work closely with waiters and departmental heads to ensure service excellence
• Implement and maintain lodge SOPs
• Assist across departments where needed to ensure seamless operations
• Coordinate and host children’s activities when required
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-level guest service and hospitality
• Support operational flow between kitchen, service, and management teams
Requirements
• Previous hospitality or guest-facing experience essential
• Camp Manager or Safari Host experience advantageous
• Experience working with children advantageous
• Valid unendorsed South African driver’s licence essential
