About the Role
MECS Africa is seeking a highly skilled Project Supervisor/Leader/Engineer to join our team in Europe. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Afrikaans, German, or Dutch and have demonstrable project management and leadership abilities. This role combines project management with engineering and operational support, ensuring safe, efficient, and controlled execution of activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating and supervising projects and activities
- Monitoring planning, progress, quality, and safety
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, internal teams, and subcontractors
- Reporting progress, deviations, and key issues to management
- Providing technical support to execution teams
- Interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Coordinating and resolving technical issues
- Contributing to improvements in work methods and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor-level education in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Experience as a project leader and/or engineer in an industrial environment
- Excellent technical knowledge
- Hands-on
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain overview and set priorities
