About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our picturesque country hotel in Tzaneen, Limpopo. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day hotel activities, including front desk operations, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services.
- Host PCO’s, STO’s, and other valuable clients once per month at the hotel.
- Handle guest complaints and feedback promptly and effectively.
- Prioritize customer satisfaction and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Implement revenue management strategies to achieve monthly targets, with a minimum of 30% generated at hotel level.
- Meet shrinkage targets and maintain purchasing controls.
- Provide effective leadership and motivate staff to achieve organizational goals.
- Stay up-to-date with current marketing trends in the hotel industry through research and reading of E-Hotelier articles.
Requirements
- A deep understanding of the hospitality industry, including trends, customer preferences, and best practices.
- Strong operational skills for managing day-to-day hotel activities.
- Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, revenue management, and cost control to ensure profitable operations.
- Effective leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue and attract guests through various channels.
