About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Secretary to join our team in Western Cape, specializing in Foreclosure litigation under the National Credit Act. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and manage high-pressure situations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on Home Loan Foreclosures
- Receiving new instructions and actioning accordingly
- Working with the National Credit Act
- Opening of new files
- Communication and extensive liaison with Clients
- Sending out demands
- Engaging with debtors
- Assist with summons drafting and dispatching
- Managing the timelines of deadlines
- Legal drafting, formatting and updating of agreements
- Managing documents, letters, calendar monitoring and tracking of deliverables
- Updating resolutions and management & updating of files and folders
- Managing ecomm agreements, drafting and precedent creating
- Managing high pressure situations and working within tight deadlines
- Updating of all records and systems within the department
- Organisation of administration requirements and managing this workload
- Updating systems, uploading documents, attend to ad hoc requests for legal and compliance
Requirements
- Matric and relevant qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Foreclosure litigation
- Knowledge of the National Credit Act
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
- Excellent communicator and ability to manage high pressure situations
- Capable of regulating your own diary
- Ability to work well in a team environment
