About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Rigger to join our team in Kriel, Mpumalanga. As a mid-career professional with 4-6 years of experience, you will be responsible for performing safe rigging and lifting operations for PF hangers and support structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform safe rigging and lifting operations for PF hangers and support structures
- Assist with inspection, repair, fabrication, and installation activities
- Set up and operate rigging equipment including slings, shackles, hoists, and cranes
- Support removal and replacement of worn or damaged ceramic-lined components
- Ensure accurate positioning, alignment, and secure installation of equipment
- Work closely with welders, fitters, and engineering teams
- Follow lifting plans, method statements, and site safety procedures at all times
- Conduct pre-lift inspections and maintain rigging equipment in safe working condition
Requirements
- Valid Rigger trade certificate / qualification
- Proven experience in industrial rigging and heavy lifting operations
- Experience in power plants or heavy industrial environments (advantageous)
- Ability to read and interpret lifting plans and technical drawings
- Knowledge of load calculations and rigging techniques
