About the Role
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our team in Menlyn. As an entry-level developer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our internal web application, working closely with our IT team to design, build, and support solutions using Java, APIs, Microservices, and Serverless technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a critical internal web application (frontend and integrations)
- Design, build, and support solutions using Java, APIs, Microservices, and Serverless technologies
- Work in a cloud environment (AWS) including deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line production support , including troubleshooting, log analysis, and debugging
- Analyse and implement new system requirements
- Perform production and integration deployments
- Ensure solutions meet IT security, compliance, and quality standards
- Write clean, scalable, reusable, and performance–optimised code
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
- Conduct code and peer reviews
- Maintain documentation in Jira and Confluence
- Prepare deployment artefacts, plans, and technical documentation (ISO aligned)
- Support releases, hyper–care, and system improvements post–deployment
Requirements
- Strong experience with Java
- Experience with Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
- Knowledge of REST & SOAP APIs, Postman, SoapUI
- SQL skills (Postgres, DB2)
- Git/GitHub and IntelliJ IDEA proficiency
- Test automation experience (Selenium, Cypress, JUnit)
Qualifications
- Degree in IT or equivalent practical experience
