About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in Potchefstroom. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation and controls, with a solid understanding of PLC programming and SCADA systems. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing automated control systems to improve production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated control systems to improve production efficiency
- Programme and maintain PLCs and HMIs
- Assist in integrating automation solutions with existing production lines
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of automated systems
- Provide technical support and collaborate with engineering and production teams
- Stay informed about emerging automation technologies and suggest relevant improvements
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering
- 210 years of relevant experience in an automation or controls environment
- Solid understanding of PLC programming (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
