South Africa: Junior CNC Operator

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior CNC Operator to join our team in a dynamic furniture manufacturing environment. As a junior operator, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop advanced CNC machining skills under the guidance of experienced operators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up and operating CNC machines under supervision
  • Load materials, set tooling, and support machine preparation
  • Follow CAD drawings and basic toolpath instructions
  • Monitor machine operation and report any issues or errors
  • Assist with finishing, quality checks, and basic measurements
  • Support maintenance, cleaning, and general workshop duties
  • Learn machine processes, tooling, and production workflows

Requirements

  • 12 years CNC operating or manufacturing experience (advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of CNC machines and workshop processes
  • Ability to read simple technical drawings (advantageous)

Qualifications

  • Valid South African ID or work permit (required)
