About the Role
We are seeking a strong, hands-on General Manager to lead the day-to-day management and performance of a growing luxury villa portfolio in Paje, Zanzibar. This is a senior on-site role combining operations leadership, team management, guest experience oversight, owner relations, commercial performance, and revenue optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations across housekeeping, maintenance, guest services, stock control, and site readiness.
- Oversee facility management including security, waste collection, and common area maintenance.
- Drive commercial performance across occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, booking pace, and channel mix.
- Manage pricing, promotions, booking trends, and competitor positioning to maximise revenue.
- Onboard new villas to platforms such as Airbnb, Apply Below, and VRBO, ensuring accurate listings and rate integrity.
- Act as the primary on-site contact for owners, preparing clear weekly and monthly performance updates.
- Lead, coach, and hold accountable the on-site team, building a culture of responsiveness and problem-solving.
- Ensure a high-quality guest journey from pre-arrival to departure, with luxury presentation and service recovery.
- Maintain operational controls, compliance, and reporting discipline across systems and standards.
Requirements
- A hands-on operator with 8–15 years’ relevant experience.
- Commercially aware and confident with P&L management.
- Skilled in team leadership, guest service, and owner relations.
- Experienced in pricing, occupancy management, and portfolio performance analysis.
- Comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial, owner-led environment.

Salary & Benefits
- USD 2,000 net per month.
- Annual performance bonus of USD 12,000 on achieving all goals.
