About the Role
The Centurion: Surveillance Systems Operator X5 role is a critical position that requires exceptional surveillance skills and experience in monitoring CCTV systems, alarm systems, and control room environments. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the safety and security of individuals and assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively monitor and detect incidents within 3 minutes of their occurrence via CCTV cameras, inbound calls, and alarm systems.
- Ensure accurate logging and verification of all detected incidents.
- Dispatching of Security personnel and coordination with relevant response units during active incidents.
- Notifying other Law Enforcement and emergency services where required.
- Arm & disarming of alarms.
- Monitor, record, and report all roadside and TMC equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure accurate and timeous completion of all administrative functions related to KPIs.
Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate in Call Centre operations
- PSIRA registration (added advantage)
- MS Office (intermediate in PowerPoint, Excel, MS word, and Microsoft Outlook)
- At least 3 years control room environment, CCTV surveillance, or security monitoring experience
- Computer literacy
