About the Role
The Centurion Traffic Management Operators play a critical role in ensuring public safety and efficient traffic management on South African roads. This position requires individuals who are highly skilled, experienced, and possess excellent communication skills to effectively monitor incidents, dispatch services, and maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively monitor and detect incidents within 3 minutes of their occurrence via various detection methods.
- Ensure accurate logging and verification of all detected incidents.
- Disseminate information regarding active incidents to the public and relevant response units.
- Dispatch On Road Services Vehicles and coordinate with response units during active incidents.
- Monitor, record, and report all roadside and TMC equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure accurate and timeous completion of all administrative functions related to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years of experience in Incident Management Systems or CCTV surveillance
- Conversant in at least 2 languages
- Computer literacy
- Assertiveness
- Good people skills
- Ability to cope with unusual work schedules
- Team player
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, and Internet proficiency
- Telephone etiquette
- Multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work under pressure
