About the Role

The Finance Business Partner role at H&S Labour Brokers cc is a critical position that requires a strong financial expertise and business acumen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance to the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as financial custodian
  • Develop and implement finance policies, procedures, and processes aligned with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review compliance regularly and take corrective action. Maintain governance frameworks and signing authorities.
  • Manage the budgeting process
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting of capital and operational expenses.
  • Monitor costs against budget, provide variance analysis, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports for committees.
  • Compile annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
  • Stakeholder management and finance business partnering support to CFO and FM and Pension Administration Executive
  • Support the CFO and FM with financial analysis, policy execution, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide performance insights and step in for the FM when required. Manage key banking relationships.
  • Provide financial governance and oversight for projects
  • Ensure finance projects align with objectives and governance requirements.
  • Track ROI, risks, and milestones, and ensure delivery within cost and time constraints.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable and Payable and Cash Management
  • Maintain accurate vendor records, monitor payments and debtor aging, oversee reconciliations, and ensure sufficient cash flow.
  • Manage Accounting processes
  • Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, consolidations, and timely close-off periods.
  • Oversee Asset Management
  • Maintain asset registers, ensure correct depreciation, and resolve escalated issues.
  • People Leadership
  • Manage team capacity and performance, develop employees, and foster a high-performing, accountable, and engaged team.

Requirements

  • CA (SA) qualification
  • At least 5 years job-related experience within a Financial Services institution, which should include at least 2 years’ experience in a strategic leadership role.
  • Pension Fund Industry will be advantageous
