About the Role

As a Registered/Enrolled Nurse with Wellness Health Insurance Pathology Services SA, you will be part of our team of independent mobile nurses who set their own schedules while earning an additional income. You will have the opportunity to work on various services, including insurance medicals, home-based care, and wellness events.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct insurance medicals, including a range of blood tests
• Prepare written medical reports and questionnaires
• Travel to client appointments and prepare them for lab tests
• Administer mobile baby vaccinations at clients’ homes in collaboration with Dis-Chem
• Provide home-based care services, including IV administration and wound care
• Conduct health assessments at companies, offering services such as finger-prick cholesterol and glucose screenings, HIV testing, BMI calculations, and vision screenings (Snellen Chart)
• Complete comprehensive reports electronically on Wrap for wellness events

Requirements

• SANC Registered
• Possess phlebotomy experience
• Have access to a smart device and a car
• Be a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in midwifery, paediatrics, and/or baby vaccinations
• Own a car

Salary & Benefits

• Base rate per completed appointment: R220.50
• Base rate for a no-show appointment: R99.75
• Fuel levy per appointment: R12.20 (if OA 1 Completed or OA 2 Completed)
• Hourly Rate: R170.00 per hour spent on-site
• NURSE RATE: R350.00 per appointment

Mobile Baby Vaccinations

• Collect vaccinations and administer them to babies at clients’ homes in collaboration with Dis-Chem

Home-based Care

Homecare Hospital at Home Woundcare

Home Visit Service

• Conduct home visits for members aged 65 and above to prevent hospitalizations through proactive and comprehensive reporting
• Accurate assessment of the member’s condition and identifying any co-existing factors that may impact their health
• Chronic disease education, offering preventive advice to help reduce or prevent hospital admissions
• Cholesterol screening and conducting baseline vital assessments for members
• Identifying and managing clinical needs effectively
• Recommending appropriate and effective treatments based on your assessments
