About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Branch Accountant to join a leading commercial vehicle dealership based in Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Accurate reports and financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Control fixed assets, debtors and creditors.
- Perform various payment and balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that discrepancies are resolved in timely manner.
- Reconcile stock and stock management.
- Risk Management at branch level.
- Expenses control.
- Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly journals (oversee the general ledger and ensure that all transactions are recorded correctly and within set deadlines.)
- Review of vehicle stock counts.
- Monitor parts and workshop cash sales.
- Control branch financial activities.
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
Requirements
- BCom Degree in Accounting or similar qualification.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role (commercial industry experience at dealer level advantageous).
- Proven experience handling recruitment processes.
- Confident and proactive approach.
- Approachable and professional manner.
- Team player with a positive and respectful attitude.
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
- Valid drivers licence.
- Clear criminal record.
